Louise has been involved with ETC since 2016 where she first encountered some of ETC’s work as a participant in a corporate team away day. This then led to Louise volunteering for ETC, subsequently becoming chair of the management committee in 2020 before leaving to study her MBA. Having been around horses from a young age, Louise has an affiliation with horses and has seen first-hand the power of their healing abilities. She has always been very excited about the work that ETC delivers and believes that every individual suffering from trauma should have the opportunity to receive equine facilitated therapy. Now, as a member of the executive board, Louise is helping take ETC through its next growth phase with the long-term goal of becoming a service of best practice in the UK respected for its robust psychotherapeutic approach. Louise is currently working to raise ETC’s profile both locally and nationally, improve funding to sustain and expand its work and establish a centre of excellence at its new location via its education and training.
