Simone is a person-centred counsellor at heart and combines this skillfully with her experience as a Registered General Nurse – combining an individual’s psychological needs with their physical well-being. Her particular passion is in becoming a proficient carer for people with dementia and she is studying a Masters in the Principles of Dementia Care. In joining the Equine Therapy Center’s team of facilitators, Simone not only brings great experience and expertise in supporting those with Dementia but also Addiction, Abuse, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Self-Harm and Loss Bereavement. Simone has worked for various organisations including Prisons, Charitable Organisations and Private Rehabilitation Units. Most recently Simone has been working as an RGN at Wyatt House in Stroud, a specialised Dementia Care Home, where she has been clinically caring for residents and supporting family members. Simone’s approach is integrative and relational allowing her to connect with people on many different levels, always offering the conditions of empathy, congruence and acceptance.
