Our venue is rather special. It provides the space to explore our self in tranquility, calmness and holding.
The Equine Therapy Center is a community interest company (CIC) located in in Monmouthshire, on the southernmost edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, and is a pioneer in the field of therapeutic work with horses. Our mission is to be a centre of excellence in helping children and adults recover from trauma by working with horses.
Equine Facilitated Therapy (EFT) is designed to bring about change on a somatic (body and mind) level. All EFT sessions have set goals including emotional self-regulation, creating healthy boundaries, understanding choices and consequences and self-care. People can better understand themselves by building and exploring a relationship with a horse, allowing them to learn strategies to live healthier lives.
As well as providing Equine Facilitated Therapy to our clients, we train the next generation of EFT therapists and offer a range of professional training with and without horses, covering issues such as attachment, the impact of trauma, compassion fatigue, emotional regulation, overcoming PTSD and sensory integration.
Our base lies in 31 acres of supremely special, secluded and calming countryside, though still within easy commuting distance from Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, Abergavenny, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bath and Bristol and convenient for both the M4 and M5 arterial routes.

This beautiful setting gives us the safe, secure and private space we need to conduct our therapeutic practices for the benefit of our clients, our horses and our team.
